Policies

Returns will only be accepted under the following terms and as determined by FactoryBoatParts.com:

• Returns must be authorized by FactoryBoatParts.com before they are sent back. We will provide the customer with an authorization number to place on the returning package, when they call for authorization.


• The item(s) being returned must be unused, uninstalled and in its original resellable package in which it was sold.


• All returns must be sent within 10 days of delivery.


• No returns will be authorized or accepted on any electrical items, especially ignition parts. FactoryBoatParts.com does not serve as a lender for diagnosis purposes. Therefore, you must be sure that what you order is what you need.


• Wrong parts (wrong part being defined by FactoryBoatParts.com as a part ordered which is different from what was ordered by customer) will be accepted and switched out, for the correct part.
  
• FactoryBoatParts.com charges a 20% restocking fee for all parts and does not pay shipping for any returns.


• If a return is sent without an authorization number and/or after a 10-day period, it will not be accepted, and will be sent back at customer's expense

Privacy Policy:

Your privacy is our priority at FactoryBoatParts.com. In order to assure you of our commitment to this, we have created this privacy policy. FactoryBoatParts.com gathers information from you, the customer, for the purpose of a sales transaction, as well as for demographic information gathering to better understand and serve the market. We will not share your information with any outside entities except what is required for a sales transaction.

Shipping Policy:

Some addresses will be charged a delivery area surcharge. These are usually addresses in towns with no large UPS center. In some cases the address is simply a longer distance from that center even though in the same town or city. In some cases UPS calls this charge a rural area surcharge. In any case it seems to be based on distance from the center and is usually 14 - 20 % of the normal shipping charge in other words...$2.00 to $4.00. Obviously, if we are shipping overnight it runs a good bit more.

Heavier items including but not limited to tires, wheels, jack plates and other metal trailer parts will be charged a heavy item surcharge which is sometimes a good bit more. This charge is usually charged as a separate item.

Similarly, bulkier, large dimension items including but not limited to some seating items, fuel tanks, bimini tops will have bulky item surcharge added similar to the heavy item surcharge. This charge is usually charged as a separate item.

Boats, trailers, motors will not fall under any of the above normal or special item shipping charges. Please call us at 281.999.BOAT for information regarding delivery of boats, trailers and motors.

If insurance is desired, please let us know in special comments on the order. UPS provides coverage for the 1st $100.00. factoryboatparts.com does not provide insurance on the shipped product.
